This series is a visual representation of hybridity – both in the meshing of nature and culture (and humans and landscapes), and in the enactment of those intersections. The digital prints highlight the struggle, collaboration, confusion, liminality, and intimacy that is at stake when real hybridity – not the mainstream, sanitized half-and-half version, but the messy hybridity that has no clear point of origin – is at stake. The photographs have not been composited.
