Jing Zhou, born in Chongqing, China, is an Assistant
Professor of Art at Monmouth University, New Jersey. She completed her
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in Chongqing,
and a Master of Fine Arts degree from Georgia Southern University.
Jing is a prolific artist and versatile graphic designer.
She was previously a Senior Graphic Designer at Gruen Associates and
First Look Media, Inc. in Los Angeles and a Junior Art Director at
Chongqing Huaxi Packaging, Inc. in Chongqing, China. She continuously
holds membership in the American Institute of Graphic Arts and the
College Art Association.
Jing’s art has been chosen and won awards in national and
international art exhibitions and competitions. Numerous magazines, such
as
Photo Techniques,
have published her art. Her work has been collected by public
organizations and private collectors in both the U.S. and China.
Jing’s artistic creations reflect her interest in
spiritual experiences, and Eastern and Western art, literature, and
philosophy. To her, creating art is a process of expressing her true
nature via “being” human.
