Artist’s Statement – Recent
Work As a
contemporary artist I am seeking to unite new approaches with historical
techniques. Recently I have been experimenting with the idea of
“multiplicity” and the integration of Classical Chinese painting
elements. In my most recent work I have been working with the notion
that a line can not only have a beginning, a middle and an end, but a
“before” and “after” as well. So, the lines that form mountains can also
form mice while mountains shift in and out of geometric abstractions.
