Marvin and Me, performance piece, purple crushed velvet fabric, 2 channel sound piece, ambient sound and equipment, two sets of headphones. Still included with web movie and sound piece. For the three-hour duration of the reception, I danced in headphones to “What’s Goin’ On” by Marvin Gaye. Ambient vocal and spoken word sounds played through speakers and permeated the space. Another set of headphones hung nearby with the same song. Viewers who participated could hear what I was dancing to and dance along by wearing the other set of headphones..
