Tinka Martell
Everything I see in my
environment filters into my work
In painting I can express
my life experiences utilizing whatever materials I chose to work with
such as wood, paper, canvas and any recycled product I have. At times, I
work "very small' on paper with copper leaf and ink, however, most often
I work in large scale, three dimensionally, or on the wall.
Inevitably, after
choosing the material to work with any preconceived or intended thought
becomes irrelevant as the piece evolves.
I usually prefer
not to title my pieces, as I do not want give the viewer any
preconceived ideas about what the is meant to say. We all have different
experiences throughout our lives that, I believe, change how we may see
each piece of art by any artist we view.
