Artist’s statement:
Type of activity :  mainly photographic – based on underlining the hidden aspects of a work.  Appearances are not always such as they are meant to be.  Not very far from clean and smooth  appearances, you find hidden aspects of  less pleasant situations.  It is this borderline space which is the object of Clara Arozena’s study.  She picks out from to-day’s image unpleasant details, never harmless, and which, in most cases, convey their  real significance.  It is the concrete demonstration of the image underlying the image.
