Carleton is the name of the blue skinned androgynous human-like creature who was born to save the
world. He doesn’t have a deep knowledge on any particular subject but what he does have is a big heart
filled with love and hope for all who’s suffering, and the courage to jump into the scenes and offer a cup of
warm tea that he knows for sure would help.
Though seemingly out of place, Carleton’s appearance in a critical situation not only softens the sense of
crisis but also makes us realize that there may be a simpler way to approach all of our troubles, big and
small, like a cup of warm tea.

I make works on paper to comment on what I hear about the world from sources like BBC, NPR or
New York Times. While listening to the news stories and drawing at the same time, the smooth feeling
of my drawing pen gliding over the surface of fine art paper reminds me how lucky I am to be right
here, right now, making art. Aside from drawing and painting, digital media such as Photoshop and
Illustrator also help me express my ideas of the world.
