Brief Bio
-
I moved to Toronto for art school at 20 and never left. I
travel frequently in search of imagery, nuance and adventure. I studied
fine art at Three Schools of Art, and Toronto's Art Centre at Central Tech
and have had numerous group and solo exhibits, in juried and indie
contexts, and exhibit locally and internationally.
Artist Statement -
"I draw to see; I paint to discover." My work is largely
intuitive, figurative and expressionistic, intended to capture a feeling,
imperfect memory or observation. The motif of 'no faces' expresses
the universal and the unknown. For the last ten years I have worked
primarily in series, exploring themes of current interest. The above
images are from my Asia Series.
