Artist’s statement:

I am a recent college graduate from Spring Arbor University, Michigan.

My work is strongly influenced by what I perceive from nature around me.  Because I am interested in the beauty I find, through the colors, lines, folds, patterns and textures, I seek to bring the viewer in, up close and personal, to experience what I have discovered and captured, from my observation of some common forms in nature.  Rather than showing a distant landscape, which plays its own unique role, I desire to bring the viewer into a new space, to help them see from a new, somewhat magnified, point of view.
