Jeremias Paul was born in Erlangen, Germany and has been living in the United States for the past nineteen years. Jeremias holds an M.F.A. in photography from Savannah College of Art & Design and is currently living in Boston, Massachusetts where he is teaching photography and getting a taste of big city life. Jeremias’ work is continually exhibited throughout the United States.

Artist’s statement:            

Jeremias Paul’s work is primarily about identity and belonging. His Series entitled “My Invented Country” examines the loss of the natural environment the artist has experienced through immigrating to the United States as a child and reconciling that loss through performances re-exposing himself to the natural elements that surround him.
